I made it into the 92.7 Ultimate Dj contest!!!!!

This is great news. I am one of 18 Djs in the SF region to make it into the contest. We battle head to head in elimination rounds to see who rocks it the hardest. I am really stoked to be a part of this. Competition has been a big part of my life for a long time. Snowboarding, Skating, Shifter Kart Racing, now fixed gear Alley Cat races through the city have all taught me how to be competitive in any field. The strategies and winning headspace that it takes to keep things flowing under pressure are the same regardless of genre. The real variable in this case is the subjectivity of the judges in relation to the music I am playing. The audience participation/reaction will be the thing that overcomes prejudice. I need everyone to come out and dance and freak out and just lose your mind on the dancefloor at each one of the stages of this competition. Winning this will put me closer to the place I want to be with Djing. Traveling the world and playing great music and meeting new people. This Is what I was made for. It has taken me a while to derive the focus needed to achieve it. The first event is at the Cafe on Market street. From 10pm to 12 Aug 18th. This Saturday. Please come and get the freak on.
