Nisus at Adidas concept store
Playing the Adidas concept store on Haight st in SF is a great experience. Totally unique to the dark nightime rituals of playing clubs. The traffic volume was really steady and I got to smile at people while they waited for the elevator. Like a dancefloor, I could watch how the music would pull people in off the street. When I dropped the vibe, things slowed down and when I brought it up traffic increased. The sound in the store is not that bad compared to many places Ive played. People were feeling the set and I got a lot of great feedback. I had my picture taken with some Japanese tourists and left the day off with an Isley Bros Fight the power track into some Public Enemy. More shows here in SF would be great.
